While shooting outside the venue I came across the familiar face of an old friend, Joel K.  I haven’t seen Joel in quite a few years but in classic Joel K style he was all smiles and joyful hellos. I knew him when I lived in Mammoth Lakes, when all we did was ride and have fun. He always had the best style with the biggest smile on and off the hill.

Since then Joel has traveled the world, studied the masters of art, directed music videos and now has launched a fashion menswear line named KZO.  As creative director Joel has the opportunity to share an experience and tell a story in each of his collections.  I look forward to getting another chance to talk with Joel about his upcoming collections and various projects, but until then I hope you enjoy the photos of the camera jacket his good friend was wearing when I shot him.  It can also be seen at KZO/Cinematics
